hey.. I have a very serious lag for crysis warhead at about 8-20 fps.

my system is as stated below:

Intel Core2Duo E6750@2.66Ghz
Sapphire HD 4870x2 2gb
Asus P5Q3 DDR3 Motherboard
2GB DDR3 RAM
160+500GB SATA HDD
800W Gigabyte Psu
Vista Ultimate 32-bit

My settings are enthusiast with motion blur turned off and resolution used is 1440x900 (19" monitor) with no AA.
My catalyst comes with the card (v8.9)

Should I upgrade my catalyst? or should I get a better processor? such as Q9550 for better performance? I'm not planning to OC coz i don't have enough cash for a new PSU..

Regards,

Jason

+1 for updating catalyst

though i would also upgrade to at least 4GB ram and 64bit Vista (or if you can wait until Win7)

Waste of time and money upgrading to 64bit for gaming.

I had the same problem with a Ati radeon 4850x2, my setup had a quadcore and 4GB ram, I first intalled vista ultimate 32bits and it was horrible, 15-20 fps, then when i checked my ram it was only showing 2gb, that was because 32bits can handle up to 4gbs of memory (including GPU memory).

So i had 2gb of ram, 2gb of video ram and vista using 35% of my 2gbs of ram.

what worked for me was moving to 64bits, it takes all 4gbs now and vista only using 20%, I dont think you can run crysis at max settings with 2gb ram even if it is DDR3 (someone correct me if im wrong, but vista takes the same % regardless DDR2 or DDR3) get more RAM and try 64bits and...

first of all try to update your drivers lol :)
