HP External Drive

Hi!

I bought an HP Simple Save external drive. When I attached it, two hard drive letters were created. Furthermore, the drive comes w/ pre-installed back-up software that I do not want to use; I want to use Back Up Pro.

What's going on? Why two letters? Can I delete the software?

Is it because the drive is pre-installed with 2 partitions? If you want one large partition and to use Back Up Pro, just remove the existing partitions, add/format one large one, and then install and use Back Up Pro. You don't have to use what same pre-installed with the drive. Good luck!
