Hi, need some help with choosing my CPU, i'm building a relatively high gaming PC (GTX260, 4gig Ram, ) but am having trouble choosing my CPU. What I Should I go for , the Phenom X3 8750 or the intel series like the E7400 or E7500, thanks

For a high end gaming system I would think you would want a Phenom II X3 720 at the very least. It's about the same price as an Core 2 Duo E7500 also.

but would that be recommended instead of the Core 2 Duo E7500?

Phenom II X3 720 all the way. It's a black edition, it overclocks very well, it's got the extra core over the C2Ds, and overall its a really good CPU. Plus if u go the AM3 route you have several upgrade options whereas LGA775 is maxing out with Core 2 Quads.

Would the X3 710 be any good?

yes it just won't OC as well and you lose 200mhz.
