Ok so i just bought myself an iPod Touch 4th Generation 8 GB.
My computer has Windows XP Home SP2 32-bit.
I installed iTunes 10.3, and the first time connecting my iPod to the computer, it worked fine.
But then things started to go bad.
My computer started getting the BSOD, and I couldnt figure out what was causing it.
But then the computer started crashing immediately after i connected my iPod.
The computer makes the USB-connecting sound, and seconds after that, the computer crashes with a BSOD and restarts.
I've upgraded to iTunes 10.4 but it still crashes every time i connect the iPod.
I have another computer with Windows 7 on it but i can't access that now, but i will later.
What is causing it? :??:

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem with my daughter's Ipod Touch which we also just bought recently. No idea what is causing it.
Did you have any luck fixing it since you posted this?

P.S. Silly question but where can I check what version of Windows I have?

Well if the start menu is green and blue it probably si Windows XP. If it is like transparent glass with a windows logo as the start menu, it is either Windows 7 or Windows Vista.
No i have not figured it out but it works on my desktop with Windows 7.

eilif do u have USB drivers working proper?

No yellow question mark on icons in device manager?

Maybe if u upgrade to SP3 problems will go away.

To check your Win version, click start- right click 'my computer'- and it'll tell you.

Have you tried posting this on the Apple forums? They might be better suited to help...
