Hi,

yesterday removed the CPU cooler and cleaned it, when putting back over the CPU, I didn't used the thermal paste between the cooler and the CPU. Now the PC blocks after the memory check, somethime I was able to enter the bios, seeing some strange chars, then blocks again.
Question is, maybe that the missing thermal paste is the cause for that, is it?

thx
Antonio

Yes, you should, and this is highly recommended, use the thermal paste between the cooler and the CPU.
Some thermal paste could take long time to be fully ready.
Just a drop, a little bigger than a ricecorn, and then move the cooler around a bit to spread the thermal paste.
