Upgrade for AMD X2 6000 to Phenom?

Forum CPU & Components : CPUs Upgrade for AMD X2 6000 to Phenom?

My X2 6000 just died on me - well its half dead but regardless I need to upgrade it. My board supports AM2+ so I can run anything AMD wise.

Being price smart what do you guys see as a good performance upgrade and not throwing money out the window.

Phenom II X3 720 if your motherboard supports it(you may need a BIOS update)
