I have an HP Pavilion PC (m7690n), set up with XP Home Media , dual 250G hard drives (RAID 0 setting) - and one of the two drives is failing...getting the dreaded "clunk" sound and problem with booting. About to install an HP 500G "Personal Media Drive" in the front door slot of the PC, and want to clone the failing HD's to the new 500G drive and make the new HD the boot drive. Any words of wisdom on the process? What is best software to clone? Thanks.

Download clonezilla (easy search and find via Google) and burn the ISO to CD. Boot and follow the directions. Very easy. Just go with the default settings (you'll see what I mean). Free and effective.
