i have bought a new acer i3 laptop but i couldn't find the Local Drives like D: or E: nothing, there's only c: So does this means that the computer has a fault or it can be fixed if yes then how?

Its quite normal. Some laptops are shipped with only drive of maximum HDD capacity. Its better get partitions into them.

Even my Dell laptop came with 1 drive and one 20GB recovery drive. That is coz Dell gives you the recovery partition in case the lappy crashes!

It simply means the computer ships with only 1 drive, and it is partitioned as only 1 large drive.
