Cant boot into win XP

may have download a bud, system won't boot into windowXP, see XP icon but no other movement just stay at boot-up XP icon

By xp icon you mean xp loading screen?
Keep F8 key pressed before and at the xp screen. You can get into safe mode, but you could try first the Last Good Known Configuration option.See if it gets you to windows, if not go to Safe mode.

If you can boot like that, then you'll probably need a repair install.
