Nvidia or ATI with Phenom II?

Which would you recommend?
I'm kinda neutral with these 2. I liked Nvidia at first but ATI blew me off my feet as well.

And with me getting Phenom II, would it be better to go the AMD/ATI combo? Or would Nvidia do the same?

All I'm concern is the performance and stability.

Hope to get some feedback cause I'm gonna start building my computer tomorrow! :)

Thanks!

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing about the compatibility of AMD/ATI since they're from the same company.

I've been using Nvidia for some time. You think a little change would be good?

that's what i always say, but really i don't think it makes much of a difference. either manufacturer's cards will work fine, just choose the one that has the better value/performance for you.

Hmmm... I probably need help here.

I'm looking at Geforce 9800GT and Radeon HD 4850.

Which is better in performance? Because the 4850 is much cheaper than the 9800GT.

I like ATI with AMD chipset and if you are are going AM2+ or AM3 type of motherboarsd, they have AM3 motherboard on the market place now, and ATI 4870 are pretty reasonable price now.

Yeah, looks like I'm getting an ATI.
I'm getting an AM2+ motherboard.

4870 is still a little out of my budget. I can upgrade it in the future from 4850 right? Or prolly a CrossFire? :D

Sounds sweet!

Thanks for the information!

But one last question, Crossfire can only be used if the game can support it?
That'll be a bummer if most games can't support.
I always thought it could be used for almost anything. lol.

^ Well, most games nowadays support Crossfire and SLi.

Even if you're playing an older game that doesn't support 2 or more cards in Xfire/SLi, it doesn't really matter since a single 4850 is still a powerful card that is more than enough to max out most games.
(the 2nd card in non-SLi/Xfire games is sometimes used as a physics engine)

doesn't matter, as you wouldn't pick a nvidia chipset for a phenom II cpu anyway, so no software complications there, if that's what was worrying you..
