Ok, i actually will have a 22" monitor with a max resolution of 1680 x 1050. will the 8800 gt still be sufficent or should i upgrade my card then.
i would like to play fallout3 and cod4 in the highest possible resolution if i can. or go sli perhaps. does it have to be in that case the exact same card?

You shouldn't have too much trouble unless you're playing Crysis. For SLi, you will need another 8800GT

I have a 8800GTS (G92) which is pretty much like the 8800GT and it plays Fallout 3 well. It could be better, but very playable overall. Save you money for now and wait for the next generation of cards if you want to have a very significant upgrade.
