Hi all,

Ever since I built my computer last october for the first time in my life, I've been having so much fun with it.
At this point I'm not sure if I spend more time playing games or spend it tweaking my computer. LoL.

I just RMAed my zalman 9700 heat sink because it was breaking down. In the mean while, I'm enjoying my stock q9550 heat sink.
With the stock heat sink, temp diff is only 5 celcious on idle but on max load it was 10 degree celcius!

Oh, here's my question if any of you would kindly respond:

"Why can't I set my Q9550 at bus speed 333 mhz?"

I normally oc to 400 mhz so the core speed would be 3400 mhz. And when I do that CPU-Z reads exactly 400mhz.

But I want to run it at stock speed for next two weeks. When i set it to 333mhz in bios (btw, my ram is 1066mhz) and boot up my windows, cpu-z always reads 334mhz!
I tried setting it to 332mhz in bios and it will read exactly 332mhz.. wierld huh? i didn't try setting it at 334mhz yet. But I'm going to do that right after this post and I will let you all know.

I noticed this back in october and really didn't bother about it but I'm just curious now. Let me know if you all have any clue~! I'll be right back!

No clock will ever be able to stay exactly the same as you put it in the BIOS. It will usually vary by up to ~5Mhz or so depending on a few factors, like system load, voltage and such.

But don't worry about it. It's nothing of issue.

Dude! I just checked out your picture. Thanks.

I see that you have C1 stepping. I have E0.

By the way, why did you set your multiplier to 6.0?
