ok, I just ordered parts for a new build. I'm still kinda new at this & now having read some articles I'm concerned as to weather or not my new memory will be compatable.
I have an AMD Athlon 64 x2 4600+
which reportedly only supports ddr2 800 pc6400 memory. I have seen it function fine with ddr2 1000 pc 8000, but my question is will it work with ddr2 1066 pc 8500?
I know the mb supports it, I'm just concerned about the processor.
Any knowledge would be most helpful.

awesome, thats all I needed to know.
& to answer your question FullMetal, I already had the CPU & with all the new parts I just ordered, I was running low on cash at the moment. So I since I'm buying new ram I wanted to get 1066 so that later on when I can upgrade to a phenom my memory will be current as well......I hope that makes sense

The mobo is AM2/AM2+ (ASUS M3N72-D AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA nForce 750a SLI ATX AMD) and from what I gather all AM2+ processors support 1066.
