I recently purchased an intelE6300 processor, and when i put it on my MB, i couldent get it to boot. It is the same socket size, but apparently my motherboard wont support a 45nm card. If i switch to a new one with a 45nm core, will my 65nm vid card and DDR2 RAM still work in the new one?

Next time before purchasing a new cpu, check the "cpu support" section for your motherboard on the manufacturer's website. And before purchasing a new board, check your case form factor, such as micro-atx or atx. Some older cases are proprietary, with custom sized boards or fixed backplates.

It should boot with a new processor.
You might need a bios update with the new processor.
Try your old processor and a bios update.
