Disc boot failure insert system disc and press enter

Hello,i keep getting the following error:
"disc boot failure insert system disc and press enter"

i can't find my system disc, so what would be my other option?

I also took it to pc world and they said my HDD was complete gone, but when i got home and ran a Diagnostics Check on it, the HDD passed, however there was a BIOS error.

What can i do to retrieve all my data off the HDD

Have you entered the BIOS at boot to verify that the HDD is selected as the first boot device?
