Depends on your system & MOBO. 4 GB for XP 32-bit & 128 GB for XP 64-bit are the limits

Check your motherboard manual to see how much and what type of ram you need. You can also go to crucial.com and run their memory advisor which will list how many slots are on your board along with compatable ram.

It always depends on your system, If you are using Win XP, you cannot upgrade your RAM into 4GB, but when you are using higher version of Windows, I think there is no problem about it.
