My pc at times just beeeeeeeeeps spontaneously for a few seconds and stop. It 'beeps' usually when it is idling or when being used. It has been occurring for some time now and i do not know what the cause is.
specs; Intel q9300 cpu
8gb corsair ram
9600gt (in sli) graphics
850watt coolermaster psu
1tb hhd, etc.
What can is the solution for this 'spontaneous beeping'?? pls help!
Did you configure the BIOS to provide a warning whenever a temperature exceeds a threshold? Depending on the motherboard, it might also be possible to get a waning because a fan spins too slowly, etc. It could be almost anything, but that's where I'd start.
i did not configure the bios in such a manner. Everything seems to be fine when the sound occurs, all the fans spins properly, windows does not stall, pc functionality remains at constant nor any warning code is displayed on the motherboard led. A beep can be heard for a few seconds and disappear, thats all, but it occurs everyday.
yes, i have done a virus scan, the system is clean..the voltages are all set to default..the system is not overclocked, but yet it still beeeps at times.
Usually this is a over temperature warning. Your temps could be hovering right at the threshold, causing the beeps occasionally. You need to figure out if something is indeed running too hot, or if your temp warning is set too low. Read your manual.
