I have an MSI 4850 video card that I just sent back to Newegg because it failed after 6 months. Looks like they no longer stock the model I purchased then. They will probably offer a refund, and in that case, I will probably purchase a 4870, since the price is now compatible to what I paid for the 4850 in September. I see a lot of complaints about excessive heat and poor cooling on many of the 4870's. Anyone have a recommendation for a high quality card with good cooling? Thanks.
The stock cooler will work fine if your case has decent airflow, just increase the fan speed a little, maybe to 40-45%. It'll still be nice and warm but it won't kill it
