GTX 260 Compatible with MSI K9n4 SLI Mobo?

I have a MSI k9n4 SLI mobo, and i was wondering if it is compatible with the GTX 260. I have heard the PCI 2.0 backwards compatibility with the 1.0 is a hit or miss thing. Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

You can use that card. Make sure your power supply is big enough for that card.

Minimum Power Supply Requirement: 500 Watt.

Well my full specs are:
AMD X2 5400+ OC'D to 3.0 ghz
3gigs RAM
8600gts
500W PSU

So my power supply meets the minimum, but is it a good idea to upgrade to one with a higher wattage?
