I want to buy new PC, but I'm not sure about the specification.
There are the spec that i want :
1. i7 920
2. Gigabyte intel x58 mainboard
3. HIS iceQ 4+ 4870
4. RAM 4G
5. Memory 500G - 7200
6. DVDRW
My budget arround 500-1000 US$
is it enough? Or anything i missed? Please help, Thank you.
Squirrel tears provide less watts than pigeon waste.
Your budget has a nice range to it, an increase of 100% for the top. The first two items alone put you near $500 so we're looking at around $1,000.
Budget at least $100 for a quality 650 watt PSU. Maybe $75 for a decent case.
$250 for a quality 24" LCD.
If you overclock the i7 920, you'll be getting maximum framerates from the 4870. If you plan on gaming, consider the GTX 275. It's a better fit for core i7.

But i will use 22" Samsung resolution 50000:1
Why GTX 275 is better than i7?
Yeah a little a 1000 dollars should cover it,depending on where you are getting your parts, you would need at least a 600 watts psu to be on the safe side (you ould need more power if you plan on using sli/crossfire later) bu the 4870 should be more than enough if you play on a 22 inch monitor (1680x1050 or 1900x1200),everything else looks good. Personally i don't see the need for an i7 simply because i know i am not going to really need that much power (if anything i ll wait for the i5) but that computer will give u all the power u need for whaever activity

including monitor 22" Samsung, case (cooler master) arround 8500 RMB equal to 8500/6.8 = 1250US$.
What do you think? Expensive? or the spec are not good?
