Hello everyone,

I have a 22" LCD monitor at 1650x1080
I'm otherwise happy with the monitor, but there is one particular thing I'd like an answer for.

When watching a game intro, and fast movement is displayed on screen, there is a horizontal 'break' in the screen as if the refresh rate can't quite catch up. Like top half is 1 frame faster than bottom half.

This happens only if there's fast movement on screen.

I thought V-sync was the problem but I can't see the diff between ON/OFF.

Recent drivers for display and video card.
Current setup is :
ATI 4850
E8400
4gig ram

Any thoughts on what could be the problem?
Thanks.

sounds like tearing. v-sync should fix it. are you using the games v-sync or forcing it through the drivers?
