Hello guys, for some strange reason my computer has been running slow and i dont know what to do to make it faster, hence i think it is time for an upgraded on my memory.
Here is my computer spec as present which is running vista:
Well, 2GB is usually sufficient. The best increase you would get would be from overclocking. The Q6600 can easily hit 3.0GHz. If you do feel that you still need more RAM, and you do happen to overclock, DO NOT fill in the remain 2 RAM slots. Replace the current 2 RAM sticks you have. Overclocking becomes hard/impossible if you have more than 2 RAM slots used with Core 2 systems (I found out about the limitation after I stuffed my Q6700 with 4x2GB RAM). Anything thats DDR2 800MHz (2x2GB) and just to be on the safe side, check the ASUS site for a list of compatible RAM for your motherboard. Also, maybe a reformat would help, too.
