Just built a new comp and had everything running smoothly for about 5 days, i went to install Call Of Duty WaW and my comp just shut off. Went to go turn it on and it will not power on. Did the paperclip test with my PSU and that powered on. But when i plug the 24 pin back into the mobo i get nothing. What could have happened? Is my mobo dead?

The burned smell is bad news; always possible to have gotten a bad MOBO, but the number one cause of this problem is having a MOBO mounting standoff in an incorrect position; carefully check that there is a corresponding mounting hole in each spot you have a standoff istalled at, or you'll cook your replacement as well. Technically, this is not an RMA'able problem - but they may allow it anyway...
