Vista system Iomega mass storage undiscoverable - Help - Todd Charske

I have a Toshiba satellite with Vista business system and bought an iomega mass storage device. In the device manager I see the device but it does not show up under "my computer". I also have a mac and formatted first with the mac because the "geek Squad" said that's the way to use it for both systems. How can I get it to work with my pc?

Did you format it as FAT32 as required to read by both OS's or did you use HFS+, which Windows can't read?

I formatted with the MAc first. The guy at the best buy told me that's best way to have both the mac and PC be able to read from one mass storage device. Did I go wrong?

yes windows can;t read it, the mac is ok.
