Will my intel dg33bu mobo support nVidia GeForce 9500 GT card. The IT guy recons it cant support pci-e2 due to the diffrent slot config.
Please clarify for me.

Even though the 9500GT is a PCIe 2.0 card, all PCIe2.0 cards are backward compatible with the PCIe1.1 slot...

Actually, there will be no performance drop at all.
A 9500GT is incapable of saturating that much bandwidth.
If we were talking about a 4870x2 or GTX 295, yes there would be a minor penalty, but nothing excessive.
