hay i m almost new in the gaming world.. i just bought my xfx 9800 GTX+ Black Edition 512MB DDR3 Graphics card upgraded from 8400GS :bounce: .. now i want 2 upgrade my monitor to 22" LCD from 17" CRT..
i have some questens..

1. What is Contrast Ratio? like 1000:1 or 5000:1.. which 1 is the best and why?

2. which Resolution will be best for my card(XFX 9800GTX+ Black Edition)? i m not going to sli till next year..:((

3. which 1 is best looking mat or glossy LCD display?

thanks bro.. but dell monitors r not available here.. Samsung/ Asus/Philips/Fujitsu models r available here..

Well, 20000:1 CR means it gets the chicks. 5ms RT means it gets them fast and they are nasty. Is the Pope Catholic?

I was going to post the 23", but I own the 21.5". I considerd the DELL's. This DELL 24" gets great reviews, but is expensive. I would like to see a review comparing this and Acer 23".

Well it seems Dell isn't available there...too bad...Dell has so many gud models...The 2209WA has such gud reviews...

Contrast ratio is the ratio from the brightest color to the darkest color. The higher the number, the more bright a color can be.
Basically it means it's prettier.

RT is how quick the picture on the monitor refreshes. It gives you better performance for gaming.

I suggest this one:

It has a quick response time and 20000:1 contrast ratio.
It has the resolution I would recommend for a 9800GTX+ on a 22" monitor. (1680 x 1050)
