there is the links, and as for the second post
budget: around 1200-1600
goal: to have it for a few years (preferably the next 4) and for it to still be shreading through games and 3d modeling and other graphical stresses. (which is why i was thinking about going to 9800gx2 instead, let me know what you think about that)
monitor, don't need one :)

i really do appreciate your help :)

Ummm... the Q6600 cpu doesn't work with the X58 mobo.

What's the budget? What's your goal? What size monitor and what resolution?

Like cokenbeer said, the q6600 doesn't work in an X58 motherboard. The processor you'd want to go with is this:

Core i7 920 $279

Looking at the rest of the build, Rosewill is not going to be a recommended choice for a CPU cooler, but I'm not sure what the top pick for LGA 1366 is at the moment.

Also, the Raidmax power supply only has 28A on the 12V rail, which means it's a relatively weak choice. That said, it's currently cheaper after rebate to buy the case w/ the PSU included. The Antec 900 is pretty much the standard recommendation around here, if you want another option. As far as power, either a Corsair 750W or PC P&C Silencer 750 would do well, with good overhead for future SLI or crossfire.

Antec Nine Hundred $100

CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply $115 - $25 MIR

PC Power & Cooling S75CF 750W EPS12V $110 - $20 MIR
