I am VERY unfamiliar with graphics cards. I am looking for a cheap PCI graphics card (I do NOT have a PCI-E or AGP slot) to play NBA2k9 on my son's computer. The CPU and memory meet the system requirements but the graphics card does not. Can someone help me find a cheap PCI graphics card that will meet these requirements. How do I know when a card I find is "greater than" ATI x1300 or NVIDIA 6600? The requirements are: Video card with 128 MB or more memory and one of the following chipsets is required:

ATI x1300 or greater;
NVIDIA 6600 or greater;
DirectX 9.0c compatible card with Shader Model 3.0 support.

Thank you in advance for any help!

Thanks for the suggestion. $110! Is that the best you think I can do? This game isn't worth that much to me. I think all the other games he has work fine with what he has. He's only 8 so most of his games are sports games and other kid stuff.

They also have a x1300, but that's actually more. I only found Visiontek makers of these in PCI. If you want to play games you can get a Playstation2 with games cheaper than $110 off eBay.

Thanks a lot for your recommendations. I just ordered the SPARKLE SFPC84GS256U2LP GeForce 8400 GS 256MB from Newegg. We'll see how it works!

Hmmm... Well, I was certainly open to any recommendations. Any specific links for $55 or less with shipping? I might be able to stop the one ordered or return it. How is a person supposed to know "7800" is better than "8400GS"? Is there an objective rating of cards somewhere?
