Just a stupid question.
But would it be alright if I use a non-compatible video card with the hybrid SLI/Crossfire chipset?

It'll just not trigger the hybrid stuff right? It'll just use the dedicated video card right?

I'm just checking if it's alright to use a dedicated video card that doesn't do hybrid sli/crossfire with the chipset.

I'm just curious about the next PC I'm gonna build since I won't be doing hybrid SLI/Crossfire or SLI/Crossfire.

Thanks!

Any PCIE capable video card will work as a single card. The onboard video chip will become disabled and rendered out of use.

Ah, great!

Anyway, will the hybrid technology be further improved? Hybrid Crossfire is only compatible with really old cards.

Anyway, thanks. Seems like the future computer is gonna be cheaper! :)
