I'm so stoked! I partitioned my hard drive using Partition Magic, installed Boot Magic as well, cuz I'm dual-booting for now. Then, I installed Mandrake 8.1. It's very smooth. Super easy, and I have no clue sometimes!

Well, I'm actually in Linux right now. I'm listening to mp3s already, and it automatically connected me to the internet (Pacbell ADSL Basic service - dynamic IP). So far, I'm so fired up. But, I'll have to configure some stuff and check it out more. But, so far, I'm happy with what I've been able to do, with the little knowledge I have.

Thanks to you others in the other thread that helped me choose. Maybe later, when I know more, I'll switch to Red Hat.

Kernel32.dll error...aw, son of a....

there's a sh*t load of new and improved stuff, along with extra journaling disk formats, better set up tools (especially for servers) etc. It'll all be on their website.

Redhat's got 7.2 out now which looks pretty nice, too. Shame about the lack of XFS support.
