SSD bottlenecked by cpu?

Using HD tune, my Intel SSD will hit a maximum of 175mbs read when my Core i7-860 is running stock.

When mildly overclocking the 860 to 3.4ghz, the SSD will hit 235mbs on HD tune.

Maybe this is normal but I don't believe it is. The SSD should have no trouble hitting those speeds even
using stock settings.

Anybody shine some light on this?

Run Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and watch the CPU graph when you're running HDTune with no other tasks running. If the CPU is pegged at 100% then you're probably operating in PIO mode for some reason.
