Done any damage to my pc?

OK heres the thing, Stupidly I plugged in my Sata hard drives into a molex, i did this while the pc was still on. The pc emmedieltly shut off and I was unable to turn it back on. So I tried Unplugging my sata drives and I managed to turn it on, So my first guess was that I blew my Hard drive or something.

This morning, I attempt to turn on the pc with the sata drives plugged in, and it turned on, wierd.

My guess would be that my PSU (Hiper 580) had some sort of security on it to prevent further damage. I dont think its a short, since I was only connecting to a molex. But i'm not sure. Will I still need to replace anything? thanks for any help.

Hi

If its not broke don't fix it. If you have doubts just use another connector for the time being. If you start experiencing problems, then worry.
