Hello There,

I hope I'm posting in the correct place. And I hope someone can help me.
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T410 laptop and I recently got a Trojan virus. The first thing I did was run a McAfee virus scan and 4 files were deleted. Three of them were in "c:\System Volume Information\" restore folders.
Which is probably the reason I cannot perform a system restore on any of my available restore dates.

I also ran a couple of Malwarebytes scans with nothing found. McAfee doesn't find anything anymore (in safe mode either). But I think my registry is messed up. During startup I get an error regarding a "wiusex.dll" file.

I've since deleted all history on firefox and IE as well as a disk cleanup.
Can you please advise me on how to proceed?
Thank you so much in advance for your help.

Hey area 51. Thanks for the reply. I have not tried combofix. I thought I had read somewhere that combofix should only be used under supervision.. I'd rather not make things worse as it is a work laptop. I should add that my Cisco VPN was affected, probably by hiloti Trojan. I needed to import a new VPN profile from a co- workers computer.

If someone knowledgeable is willing to help with combo fix please let me know.
Thank you again.
