Have you found any reviews that tell you the SIGMA SHARK SP-635 PSU is a good match for a high end system with a 4870X2?
Getting the 1366 bracket for the Xigmatek s1283?

Reply to WR2

Yeah its the 1366 bracket...

To be honest with the power supply I just chose a well-reviewed one for a lower price. Didn't do a whole lot of research...

Allrighty...how about a Xigmatek 650w then.

Any other suggestions?

Another Sigma Shark SP-635 review
I suppose by now you'll have noticed it only has 2x 6pin PCI-e power leads instead of the 1x6pin and 1x8pin PCI-e leads your 4870x2 wants?

Thanks WR2! I came to the right place!

if you want a good powerful PSU for a cheap price go to newegg.com. Look up the Corsair 750w. It's on sale currently with a rebate as well. Final price is $89.99

Can't beat that for a great PSU

I'm building a i7 system as well

i7 920 - $229 at microcenter
Asrock Supercomputer board - $294 at newegg
OCZ Platinum 6GB DD3 - $119 at newegg
Corsair 750w PSU - $89 at newegg

Keeping my old card for now until Windows 7 comes out and the new dx11 cards.
running my old HD as well until I need to install win 7. I'll probably get a couple of raptors for programs and scratch disk. (photoshop needs a scratch disk)

Where did you find that price?
Corsair 750TX $129.99 plus $20 rebate is what I see at the moment.

actually sorry they changed their prices since i bought it yesterday.. it's currently $109 after the mail in rebate for the 750w psu.. sorry

Ya they adjusted their instant savings daily it seems if not more.. When I placed the order It was that price I originally quoted. My CC didn't go through until last night and I was charged $114 making it a $95 psu.

That sucks =\

last bump, I guess other than my original power supply I'm good to go? Thinking of replacing the 4870 with a GTX 295...
