I am planning to build a new system to run Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit version when it comes out in late October. I am planning to buy an AMD Phenom II X-4 955 Black Edition CPU and thinking about buying the Asus Crosshair III Formula motherboard. I am wanting advice on the memory to buy. I would like to put 2ea 4 gig sticks of memory as that would allow me to put an additional equal amount in the future for a total of 16 gigs which Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit version would support. I do plan to overclock my system.

Any advice and suggestions would be appreciated.

Right now the only kit that has 4gig sticks in at Newegg is a 12 gig kit (thats 3, 4 gig sticks ) and its $1,200. here is the Link:

Thanks for the link. I had been looking and hadn't found any......needless to say that's much more than I am willing to pay. I guess I'll be buying 2ea 2 gig sticks. Any advice on what would be the best knowing I plan to overclock my system ?

you don't need 6 gig....let alone 8 or 12 or more.......waste of money
