Intel i870 how do I oc

I just put a new rig together and would like to know the safe limits of ocing the i7 870 cpu. I enjoy gaming and sim's I have an asus p7p55d pro mob, 4gig,s mem., sapphire 5850 vaporx gpu.,850 psu. Ihave never oc,d anything before, but would like to learn. This is my 1st build . I'm not much of a geek, please keep it simple. Thanks Old Fa_t.

Overclocking these is a littl e different from older or other cpus...so it would be best if you read a guide...there are a ton out there...I'll give you a couple...they are lengthy but totally worth reading so you understand the concept fully...
these guides should work for both 1156 and 1336 cpus as the basic design and concept of the i7 is the same...

yeah no problem...
I probably couldn't explain as well as these guides
As I myself an and amd user although I have a c2d that's
not the same thing as these i3s, i5s, and i7s...
so if have any nice overclocks post em here...
