Hello, new to forums and new to building comps. Well anyways I am going to build a new rig when windows 7 comes out, so I do have some time to change some things around and all. I was wondering if this config will work. Or maybe I can save a little money some where. I do want to build a solid performing gaming comp so I do expect to dish out some money for it. If you have any doubts about the system or better ideas please let me know. Thanks.

PSU : go with a Corais or PC-P&C-OCZ (TT, seasonic, Antec, are good too)
there is a PC-P&C 610 in deal right now.

HDD : 7200 rpm 32mb cache. the WD 640 are cheap.

COOLER : your I7 can run 3.8-4.0 on air with this cooling solution (noctua) !!

RAM : i think mushking make DDR3 1600 with 7-7-6 timing for quite cheap. 3 or 6 gb

GPU : nice one, GTX285 if budget is ok ;)

FLOPPY : ??????

Have fun :D

Thanks for the input. I really like the corsair psu you mentioned. Its much more suitable for my build. I choose the silverstone with sli in mind, but you know I will probably never do it. Thanks again for the great ideas everyone.
