It's now my time to start looking and buying... got my taxes back

This machine will be used mostly for video encoding & some gaming...
That is why I choose the I7 920 factor.

my max budget is around $1600 now - a month from now $2200...

The plain was for around $2000 without monitor.

So far this is my list of items I'm thinking of buying...

I want the best overclocking memory
6gb (PC3 12800 minimum) with XMP
The motherboard requires 1.5v memory
Not Sure if 1.65v are able to be used on this Motherboard

As I can see alot of reviews memory from cl7 to cl9 performance don't change much just the price.

I need some help completing my system or updating parts listed...

==========================================

$180 - Thermaltake Spedo Advance Package VI9001W2Z

$320 - GIGABYTE GA-EX58-EXTREME

$270 - Intel Core i7 920

$60.00 - Noctua NH-U12P

$230.00 - 300GB WD Velociraptor

$250.00 - Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16
HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card

------------------------------------------
Power Supply's not sure yet.

Brand ENERMAX
Model ERV1050EWT $280.99

Brand KINGWIN
Model ABT-1220MA1S $261.59
Series Mach 1

Brand TOPOWER
Model TOP-1100W-PBA $229.99
Series PowerBird

Brand CORSAIR
Model CMPSU-1000HX $222.36
------------------------------------------

I still need a gaming lcd also. looking at 24" 1920x1200 with 170-178°(H) / 170-178°(V)

Alot of 24" are 160°(H) / 160°(V)

Monitor is not a must right now mainly the tower is.

I have a 19" I use not that is fine, but plaining to get one in the next few months,
for the new PC.

Thanks for Any input with this!!!

I need some help picking out 6gb of memory does it matter if it is 1.5v or 1.65v with the motherboard I picked? I would like XMP memory also if possible. I can spend $200-$300 on memory I don't care just want some awsome overclocking memory.

The video card I might change.

I thinking about liquid cooling also, like MagiCool XTREME QUAD 480 Radiator or Magicool Extreme Slim Profile 4X120mm Radiator. Still looking into a really good pump for this as I am leaning to the Quad style to mount on the back side of the cpu side of tower. most likly a Koolance RP-1000BK.

12gb of OCZ gold PC3-10666 costs $260 after mail in rebate.

Don't forget when it comes to ram more = better, except when it comes to latencies.

Or Kingston HyperX PC3-16000 3x2gb which costs $245
