in the last 24 hours i all the sudden have had 2 bsod screens

any help would be greatly appreciated

The info above makes it look like you are running SP2. Did you ever install SP3? if you are still running on SP2, you may need this fix.

i will try this fix..im still on sp2 cause its an older machine and it wasnt getting along to well with sp3 installed but ive been running it fine for 6 months without sp3

just installed it hope it works..it seems like it could be the problem because this description of the fix This update addresses an issue that could cause your system to stop responding if certain firewall or antivirus programs are installed.

2 days ago i installed avast free antivirus

just wanted to let you know as of now no bsod since fix thanks again hope it keeps up
