Hi, everyone. What would I be losing if I put a AM3 processor, like a Phenom II x3 710 in a AM2+ board? Would I be losing anything from a AM3 board??
Thanks,

Not much. With that said, go for the AM3 unless it's really a lot more expensive than the AM2. Memory costs are reaching parity and even the mobo's aren't that much different in cost now.

Another thing is, you might have to flash the bios on the AM2 mobo, which can be a real annoyance if it goes wrong.
