Absolutely insane, i have loads of P4 chips and never thought they would bring such a price, time to dig them out, oh wait the fools already spent their money Dang!!!!
That's what I pretty much did in the year 2000 and 2001.I would buy junk old 486's and Pentiums PC's at thrift stores and resell them for 9 to 25 times what I purchased them for. Then I would easily have enough money to build a new system with plus have a lot of extra pocket change.
There is a sucker born every minute.
Here is how I first started. One of my friends gave me a junk AST Adventure 6060 (Intel Pentium 60 Mhz CPU) that he found in a dumpster. It worked without any problems.I played with it for a couple of months and then some lady wanted a computer. So I sold her this "dumpster" machine for $240.I did share some of the money with my friend though.
Actually she was pretty happy with it.I also sold a 486 DX-66Mhz machine in 2000 for an incredibly high price of $250.I honestly sold quite a few machines probably around 25 this way.The buyers were happy and I was happy too.
