You may be able to get the E5300 there with slightly lower temps but they would both get to 4ghz, If you purchased an aftermarket cooler. The stock intel cooler wont cut it.
The safe load temps for a 24/7 overclock is 70c for the Core2duo's and you are already at 62c at 3.1ghz which is pretty good but you wont be able to 4ghz unless you upgrade the cooler.
The E8400 will probably do it better than either one of the E5000 CPU's would, and run a lot cooler. I have had an E8400 to 4.2ghz on air but you need an aftermarket cooler to do it. You can run an E8400 at 3.6ghz on stock voltage.

Whether or not you can reach 4 GHz with an E5200 or E5300 will depend on your particular chip. The best I was able to do with my E5200 was 3.78 GHz. (315 MHz X 12). I even tried increasing vcore to 1.6 volts.

The E8400 will not be able to reach 4.0 GHz in a G41 board. The internal multiplier is too low and the G41 FSB freq usually will not go much past about 350 MHz.

I never even thought about the motherboard limitations, I was just thinking about what the CPU's could do. :pfff:

jsc is right "The E8400 will not be able to reach 4.0 GHz in a G41 board. The internal multiplier is too low and the G41 FSB freq usually will not go much past about 350 MHz".

sorry for leading you the wrong way.

I know, I have just never dealt with the G41 boards before.
I just thought they would overclock similar to a P45. I guessed wrong.

I do know if the onboard graphics is disabled(using dedicated graphics card)you can push the OC a littlre more. Correct me if Im wrong.

Im using dedicated graphic card..The max limit i can reach is 3.24Ghz (13.5 x 240).Higher then that it BSOD at windows startup.
It POST at (10 x 333) ~3.3Ghz and (12 x 300) ~3.6Ghz..
Is that my PSU or this cheap G41M-ES2L mobo that wont let me pass over 3.24Ghz ???
I have try etc...Vcore ~1.45v..It wont pass windows startup..BSOD!!! :(
Im noob..
