i installed trifire 4870x2 and 4870 1 gb a while back but am now posting some benches from fc2. I did a reinstall of vista 64 last week. My system consists of i7 920 (running at 3.15), 6 gb ocz 1800, silverstone 1000, asus rampage 2, both video cards are sapphire. I only ran FC2 because i play it primarily right now, and i did not want to take the time to run benchmarks for other games cuz it would have taken to long (sorry).
so here are some results!! all results are the average of three runs each.
first of all the resolution is 1920x1200 everything is maxed out setting wise including HDR and Bloom. i ran in dx9 and dx10 with no aa and with aa at 8x.
so here are results with just the 4870
dx 10 no aa
ave=61.23
max=87.29
min=49.03
dx 10 aa8x
ave=30.68
max=46.30
min=21.08
dx 9 aa 8x
ave=32.81
max=51.56
min=21.16
no here are results with just the 4870x2
dx 10 aa none
ave=95.99
max=147.44
min=62.20
dx 10 aa 8x
ave=46.25
max=46.25
min=27.6
dx 9 aa 8x
ave=59.32
max=96.83
min=36.13
dx 9 no aa
ave=90.58
max=127.10
min=65.88
now for trifire 4870x2 + 4870
dx10 no aa
ave=99.47
max=155.60
min=61.13
dx 10 aa 8x
ave=68.04
max=104.31
min=41.33
dx 9 aa none
ave=104.23
max=165.14
min=67.13
dx 9 aa 8 x
ave=85.41
max=137.23
min=54.29
now i know these are only benches for one game and i realize there is a huge diff from game to game. I did not bother to run 3dmark or anything like that cuz i dont really care about those numbers, im more interested in real world. Ill do other benches later when i install other games.
hope you guys found this interesting!! thanks for readin!!
Yeah I was always interested about tri fire. Give us some more benchmarks when you can.
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers
BTW I have a question. How is Mutliplayer on FC 2? Are there lots of servers available? How is lagg in general? I can buy the game on Steam now for $14 but I am not sure if I should do it since single plaer was majorly flawed, regarding AI and enemy respawning.

How about some screen shots of the settings. Only reason I ask for this is my 4870 crossfire q6600 rig settings will not go as high as my q9450 gtx 285 sli rig.What demo did you use also?

i used the bench that came with the game, also there are diff settings for dx 9 and dx 10 like how high or low they can go.
and to answer euphoria_mk. i really like fc2 multi.... i dont even play the single player. i dont usually have a lag problem unless the server is on the otherside of the world. i have to set a fps cap in the game otherwise i get fps of like 200-400 during game play. so i cap it at 100.
hope that helps

I understand that you used the one that came with the game. There are different dimos you can use to run the benchmark. I am guessing you ran it on defaul settings with ranch small. I would still like to see screen shots of your settings before you run the benchmark. I would like to run the same settings on my rig and will post the results so we can get a comparason of how a q9450 with sli'd 285's compare to tri 4870. Like I said my 4870 crossfire system does not have as high settings as my 285 rig. They are just not available. Most everythign can just go to verry high and each setting is different than what I can select for 285.
