hey all, i'm finally getting a new monitor and have narrowed my choices down to either a Samsung 21.5" syncmaster or a BenQ e2200hd. Both are about the same price and have the same specs. The only difference is that the benQ offering has hdmi, but I don't have anything that supports hdmi so that doesn't really worry me. Can anyone tell me which monitor I should be getting?

If the prices are same then go with BenQ because of the HDMI input. I personally think blu ray will take over dvd in near future so the input is useful. If you really dont need hdmi, and there is a price difference you might aswel go with the samsung

i own a BenQ myself, and from my experiences its a really good monitor.

^ +1 for the BenQ Who knows if you will need HDMI, but it is nice to have it. Could plug a PS3 or 360 Elite up to it if you wanted

true that, i forgot the 360elites had hdmi i'm hopefully getting one soonish. The samsung has just dropped $80. Anyone got a samsung or know what there quality is like?

I have a samsung t260 and enjoy the monitor. Build quality seems great. Have had it for abou a year now and no problems as of yet.

Ok thanks for the feedback. Samsung seem to have better customer service then BenQ so the samsung wins this time. :)

What is your experience based on? Have you checked them out both? That would be interesting to me because I have the E2200HD and might come into the situation one day where I have to contact their customer service.

+1 BenQ. I have a 22" and a 24" and both are great stuff for the money..really good monitors..
