Hey, I need a new CPU for my laptop (It's an Acer aspire, 5610z), and I wanted to know what would be a compatible upgrade if my laptop is indeed upgradable. I'm not the most hardware-savvy person, but my father is, and I'm sure he would be able to help me with this project.

These are my current specs:
- Genuine Intel(R) CPU T2060 @ 1.60 GHz 797 MHz.
- 1 GB of RAM (though it will be upgraded very soon)

My DxDiag is as follows:
Mobile Intel(R) 945 GM Express Chipset Family, Approximately 224.0 MB of total memory.

(I'm not sure the information necessary to answer this question, so I decided to put it all in)

Any help at all would be appreciated.

(P.S. I apologize if this thread appears more than once. My internet connection has been running rampant tonight)

Any Socket-M based T7xxx or T5xxx-series will work.

FYI, although you can finally use x64 with Core2Duo Mobile, 945GM limits you to only ~3.2GB addressable.
