Deleting Wallpaper In Windows XP

Last response: in Windows XP

I have been to a number of websites but none really gave a complete set of instructions to complete the task of removing unwanted wallpapers. Some are the ones that were loaded at the point of manufacture and others are coming from pictures sitting in "My Picture" file. The later group are also used as screensavers as well. Can they be kept as screensavers but be removed as wallpapers.

Any information in this regard would be most helpful. Like most others, I'm tired of seeing all those annoying and uninteresting wallpapers but would like later to add just one or two of my own special ones that mean something to me.

Yours truly

Yes, you can remove the wallpaper that came with XP, but I would be VERY careful because it requires deleting files in the Windows system files folder, and if you delete the wrong one. . .you get the idea.

No, you cannot stop photos in My Pictures from showing up without actually deleting them, and then you would be able to use them in your screensaver.
