Hi
I just bought a 32in vizio flat screen, and im
temporary using a s-video cable to connect it to my 9800GT, but i cant change the resolution any higher than 1024x 768 in display properties and in the nvida Control Panel i have the same issue. Ive tried creating a custom resolution through the nvidia control panel but the test keeps failing.
is there any way other way to increase my resolution? and when i get a dvi to hdmi cable will the resolution remain the same?
the resolution for the tv is 1366 x768

running xp pro sp2
Q6700
gyg p45 ud3r
xfx 9800GT

any help would be greatly appreciated

For anybody with the same problem.
Found a long term temporary solution. Bought a $3 vga cable to connect to and now 1024 x 768 looks crisp, and I now have the choice to increase it to the tv's factory preset PC resolutions.

maybe the 1024 x 768 is the limit of s-video .

Perhaps some else can confirm that .

Good that you got it sorted
