I saw this video card on amazon http://www.amazon.com/PNY-VCG96512 [...] =de_a_smtd though though Ive been looking all over the web and can't find anything related to it, does anyone know what kind of power conector does it need? is it 6-pin connector? doesn't even say the power ammount it needs

It has one 6-pin power connector. Newegg has the exact same card and images/specs for it, and it's a few dollars cheaper.

Newegg also has several different makes of that card, some of which are up to $30 cheaper. For only $20 more than the Amazon price, you could get a 9800GTX+ or GTS250 at Newegg. Something to consider...

In order of performance:

GTX260 Core 216 > GTS250 ~ 9800GTX+ > 9800GT > 9600GT.

What's the rest of your system look like, including your PSU? The components you have now can greatly influence what would work best for you. What resolution is your monitor? Are you stuck on buying nVIDIA, or would you consider an ATI card?

3 GB RAM
Windows XP
Monitor Max Resolution 1280 x 720
PSU 500W

And yeah ATI card would be fine too
