I was wondering if anyone could help me put together a good rig with 1200$ I need a monitor. I have keyboard, speakers, and OS. I would like to have 100$ left over if possible to buy the Valve complete pack off steam. I will be using this pc for browsing and gaming. I don't really do much else on it.

I think it's best to avoid the Seagate drives. I was hoping they would have their problems sorted out in the .12 drives, but it would seem they're still having problems:

I'd pick up a trusty 640GB WD drive.

Thanks for pointing that out. :)

Any time. :)

Here's hoping that Seagate will pull their heads out one of these days. It'll take a while to earn the enthusiast market's trust back. Until then, I'll be buying Western Digital drives. My computer is currently running 5 WD drives and isn't having any troubles at all.
