About a week ago I posted that my new build nothing would start up except the power supply fans. Well I got a new power supply and now it will try to turn the cpu fan and case fan will just spin for a second then nothing else happens.

I haven't seen this post before. You need to post complete system specs, including both the new ald old PSU's.

Did anyone refer you to this:

if you have a 6 or eight pin conector on you motherboard, make sure its pluged in right and then make sure you have the right conector pluged in there. ( I had the same problem and with out looking i pluged a eight pin conector in and turn out it was a pci-e cable with the additional 2 pins for eight pin setup and this caused what you are describing to me?

what mother board do you have, or did i miss that?

The 8 pin is plugged in.
My motherboard is Gigabyte GA-MA790GP-UD4H

you have a short somewhere. when you turn the power on to boot the system and everything turn on for a second then shuts of its usally the ps going bad. in this case its a short (check your wiring)
